Editorial policy

What we publish

Buying guides, category pages and free chess tools for people choosing a chess set. We are an independent site run under the Chess Set Station brand.

Sources

Rules and equipment sizes come from the chess federations that publish them. We name the source on the page that uses it, and a second reputable source where the first is not enough. Product facts come from the maker's page or the amazon.com listing.

What we do not claim

We never describe a set as tried, used or reviewed by us. We do not publish star ratings, "best" rankings based on hands-on use, or prices we cannot show from a live listing.

Independence

Affiliate links earn us a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases. They do not change the advice. See the affiliate disclosure and how we choose.

Corrections

If a page is wrong, email hello@chesssetstation.com with the page address and what to fix. We correct the page and update its date. We do not change a date unless the content changed.
